myVisionTrack® requires a prescription from your healthcare provider for app usage.
myVisionTrack® is an application tailored for individuals with macular diseases, offering a practical approach to vision management. This app enables users to conduct vision tests at home or on-the-go using their smartphones or tablets, serving as a valuable tool between scheduled clinic visits. A key feature within the app is the shape discrimination hyperacuity (SDH) test, which involves identifying differing shapes viewed through each eye.
Through this process, myVisionTrack® aims to facilitate the detection of any changes in vision, with results being automatically communicated to the user's healthcare provider. This allows for timely follow-up and potential in-office evaluations, should further assessment be required.
It is important to note that mVT is not designed for diagnostic purposes; such responsibilities rest with the prescribing healthcare provider. Additionally, data generated by mVT should not serve as justification to postpone or cancel routine appointments with healthcare professionals.
